Caleb's Bio

Ive been playing drums seriously since I was 15. I started in the school band and progressed into playing in bands. The bands I have been are One minus One, Fusilage,and now Damnitahl. My drumming style has changed a bit from when I started. I was mostly into punk driven styles and some jazz styles too. But I started listening to heavier music do to my current band mates. I really didnt know how to do double pedal beats when I joined Damnitahl. This is where the story begins of the making of Damnitahl. Smitty and I have been friends for a long time and about 3 years ago we formed a band called fusilage which was a melodic rock band. But the band broke up do to family issues and musical differences. Smitty and I kept playing and writing material. We soon started jamming with Nick, former bassist of Hand Over Fist and Shoganii. Then Gary who was the former lead guitarist and vocalist of Hand Over Fist and Shoganii, started to play with us shortly there after. We started playing and learning each others music, but realized we wanted to take this newly formed band into a different musical direction. We started writing
heavier music. With that we all had to step up our playing abilities to our full potential. I spent countless hours teaching my self how to do double pedal beats, doubles,triplets,gallops,and the emphamis whip.!! But as we played together as a four peice,Nick felt he couldnt give his all to vocals and bass. So he chose to be our front man. Shortly after we gained rick as our bassist and the rest is history.
